62. The clerk’s functions, in particular, are as follows:
1°  to receive oaths;
2°  to summon witnesses;
3°  to authorize special methods of notification;
4°  to assist the judge at hearings;
5°  to verify and approve judicial costs, including the bailiff’s accounts;
6°  to take custody of the records.
