27. Any municipality, by resolution of its council, may apply to the Corporation for authorization to make, with any person or group of persons therein designated, a contract for the preparation of a detailed program for the renewal of any part of its territory therein described.
Any municipality, by resolution of its council, may also apply to the Corporation for authorization to prepare, itself, a detailed program for the renewal of any part of its territory therein described.
The works contemplated in such contract or resolution shall cover such subjects as the Corporation determines by by-law and in particular the use of land, zoning, the regulation of building, the standards of occupancy, the destination of buildings, the improvement and maintenance of immoveables, the acquisition of immoveables by the municipality, the demolition and clearing works to be carried out, the possibilities of rehousing the evicted persons and the approximate cost of the renewal program.
