55.9.17. The Minister shall appoint the veterinary surgeons, inspectors, analysts or other persons necessary for the carrying into effect of this Act, hereinafter referred to as “authorized persons”, and may provide for the remuneration of such persons among them who are not appointed according to the Public Service Act (chapter F-3.1.1).
The chief veterinary surgeon is an authorized person by virtue of office.
