Section 40
Disposition versions
40. An exclusive exploration right may be obtained by map designation in accordance with this division.
The expression “exclusive exploration right” also covers any exclusive exploration right obtained by staking or by map designation in accordance with this Act before 29 November 2024.
For the purposes of this division, “staked exclusive exploration right”, “exclusive exploration right obtained by staking” or “parcel of land staked”, “staked parcel of land”, or “land staked”, means an exclusive exploration right obtained by staking or the parcel of land on which such an exclusive exploration right is obtained in accordance with this Act, as it reads on 8 December 2021.
40. A claim may be obtained by map designation in accordance with this division.
For the purposes of this division, “staked claim”, “claim obtained by staking” or “parcel of land staked”, “staked parcel of land”, or “land staked”, means a claim obtained by staking or the parcel of land on which such a claim is obtained in accordance with this Act, as it reads on 8 December 2021.
40. A claim may be obtained by staking or map designation in accordance with this division.
Staking shall be done with tags issued by the Minister. Tags shall be issued to any person applying therefor at the price, on the conditions and for the period prescribed by regulation.
