Any person who, by any title whatsoever, leases, assigns or makes over an immoveable, with the sole object of giving to another person the right of having his name entered on the electoral list, commits an infringement of this Act and shall be liable, upon summary proceeding, in addition to the costs, to imprisonment for not more than six months and to a fine of $200, payable to the person who proceeds before the court for the recovery thereof; any person whose name is so entered on the electoral list and who has voted in a municipal election commits the same offence and is liable to the same penalties.
