1. The purpose of this Act is to govern gas storage and the construction and use of gas and oil pipelines while ensuring the safety of persons and property and the protection of the environment, in compliance with the greenhouse gas emission reduction targets set by the Government.

The purpose of this Act is to govern the development of petroleum resources on land and in bodies of water while ensuring the safety of persons and property, environmental protection and optimal recovery of the resource, in compliance with the law as to ownership of immovables and in compliance with the greenhouse gas emission reduction targets set by the Government.
For the purposes of this Act, land includes wetlands.

1.
