16. For the purposes of the application of the Photographic Proof of Documents Act (chapter P-22), any document, book or register emanating from the Department or forming part of its records, may, notwithstanding the delay prescribed in subparagraph b of the first paragraph of section 2 of the said Act, be destroyed upon being reproduced.
