L-5 - Lotteries and Races Act

Disposition versions
1. (Replaced).
1. In this act, unless the context indicates a different meaning, the following expressions and words mean:
(a) “race” : any horse race or any other race determined by regulation;
(b) “permit” : a permit issued under this act;
(c) “establishment” : a place where a race is conducted or any place specially arranged for such purpose;
(d) “Board” : the body constituted by section 2;
(e) “Corporation” : the body constituted by section 54;
(f) “authorized person” : a person authorized by the Board under section 35;
(g) “regulation” : any regulation made under this act;
The expression “lottery scheme” includes a lottery, a game of chance and a game of mixed chance and skill.
