1. The Northern Plan Fund is established within the Ministère des Finances.
The purpose of the Fund is to foster the development and protection of the area covered by the Northern Plan.
The area covered by the Northern Plan covers all of Québec located north of the 49th degree of north latitude and north of the St. Lawrence River and the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

1. The Northern Development Fund is established within the Ministère des Finances.
The purpose of the Fund is to foster the development and protection of the area open to northern development.
The area open to northern development covers all of Québec located north of the 49th degree of north latitude and north of the St. Lawrence River and the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
