26. In the cases determined by regulation of the Minister under section 457.1 of the Education Act (chapter I-13.3), the institution may, for humanitarian reasons or to avoid serious prejudice to a child who has not reached the age of admission, upon an application from the child’s parents giving the reasons on which it is based,(1) admit the child to preschool education for the school year in which he reaches 5 years of age, or to elementary school education for the school year in which he reaches 6 years of age;
(2) admit to elementary school education a child already admitted to preschool education who has reached 5 years of age.
