44. At the request of a member and subject to the conditions set out in section 38, the cooperative may repay, on the conditions prescribed by by-law, the sums paid by the member in respect of common shares other than qualifying shares.

44. In case of the death, resignation, expulsion or placing under tutorship or curatorship of a member, the cooperative shall repay the sums paid on his common shares.
At the request of a member, and on the conditions prescribed in the by-laws, the cooperative may repay the sums he has paid on his common shares other than his qualifying shares.
