10. Every vacancy occurring during the term of office of a member of the Council other than the chairman and those mentioned in the second paragraph of section 7 shall be filled by following the mode prescribed for the appointment of the member to be replaced, for the remainder of the term of office of that member.

10. Every vacancy occurring during the term of office of a member of the Council other than the chairman and those mentioned in the third paragraph of section 7 shall be filled by following the mode prescribed for the appointment of the member to be replaced, for the remainder of the term of office of the person to be replaced.
