When the sale of moveable property is demanded by an heir in virtue of article 697 of the Civil Code, or by some other copartitioner, it must be made by a bailiff or by a person agreed upon by the parties, after public notice given in accordance with the provisions of article 594. Such sale must be held on the day fixed, at the place where the property is situated and in accordance with the provisions of articles 610 and 611, unless a judge otherwise orders. In the case of shares of companies, the provisions of articles 621 to 624 apply mutatis mutandis.
