554. Judgments containing a condemnation cannot be executed except by a bailiff, sheriff or a sheriff’s officer in virtue of a writ in the name of the Sovereign.
Unless specifically otherwise provided, any sheriff or bailiff may execute a writ anywhere in Québec.
However, the costs of execution are not taxed at a greater amount than if the execution had been made by the sheriff of the district or, as the case may be, by the bailiff nearest to the place of execution, unless they do not exceed those which would have been taxed had the bailiff travelled fifteen kilometres.
