49. Every person
(a)  shall obey the traffic signals installed by competent authority;
(b)  shall obey the orders or signals of a peace officer vested by competent authority with the power to direct traffic.
Every driver of a motor vehicle shall come to a full stop at every place where there is a stop signal in the form of a poster or intermittent red light.
