The information allowing identification of the person whose body is to be disinterred as well as any available information on the cause of death or the intoxications, infections or diseases from which the person suffered must be submitted to the national public health director with the application for authorization.
The national public health director grants a disinterment authorization if, in the director’s opinion, the disinterment does not present a public health hazard. The authorization may be subject to conditions.
