10.3. In the course of an in vitro fertilization activity, only one embryo may be transferred into a woman or person.

However, the physician may, if acting in accordance with the guidelines drawn up under section 10, transfer two embryos into a woman or person. The reasons justifying the decision must be entered in the woman’s or person’s medical record.

However, taking into account the quality of embryos, a physician may decide to transfer two embryos if the woman is 37 years of age or over. The reasons for the decision must be entered in the woman’s medical record.
