5.5.1. Eggs laid by a layer of a species other than the domestic hen must:(1) be free from any odour not found in healthy eggs;
(2) not be mouldy;
(3) not be undergoing incubation and must not have been in an incubator;
(4) not leak or display extensive, multiple or deep-seated alterations;
(5) not originate in the slaughter of layers;
(6) be free of any pathogenic microorganism.
