6. The record must be kept by the Office, at its head office, for at least 5 years from the date on which the last entry was made therein. It must be destroyed after that date, unless the handicapped person asks that it be kept.

However, if the handicapped person is less than 18 years of age at the time of the last entry in his record, the 5-year period starts from the time when he reaches 18 years of age.
