C-24.2, r. 4 - Ministerial Order concerning the approval of weigh scales
Section 15.1
Disposition versions
15.1. In order to weigh a category of axle, the operator shall:
(1) have each retractable axle of a road vehicle or combination of road vehicles lifted such that each wheel on those axles is clear of the ground;
(2) have the road vehicle or combination of road vehicles move forward so that each of the outside wheels of a category of axle, except for the retractable axles, is supported by the wheel-load scale;
(3) have the road vehicle or combination of road vehicles come to a complete stop;
(4) take the reading of the weight on the dial or display of each wheel-load scale.
The total loaded weight of a road vehicle or combination of road vehicles shall be determined by the sum of the weight readings for each of the outside wheels of an axle category supported by the wheel-load scale.
