Regulation respecting the Anse-Saint-Jean Controlled Zone

Act respecting the conservation and development of wildlife

(chapter C-61.1, s. 104).

1. The territory, the plan of which appears in Schedule A and described in this section, constitutes the Anse-Saint-Jean Controlled Zone:

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

ANSE-SAINT-JEAN CONTROLLED ZONE

Two territories located in the Municipalité régionale de comté du Fjord-du-Saguenay, townships of Ducreux, Périgny and Saint-Jean covering a total area of 193 km2 and whose perimenter is described as follows:

Territory A

Starting from Point 1 located at the intersection of the line dividing the townships of Saint-Jean and Dumas and the line dividing the townships of Ducreux and Saint-Jean.

Thence, southwesterly, the line dividing the townships of Ducreux and Sagard to Point 2, a point whose coordinates are:

5,327,225 m N and 411,100 m E

Thence, westerly, southerly and southwesterly a broken line passing through points 3 and 4 to Point 5 located on the line dividing the townships of Ducreux and Sagard skirting so as to exclude lac du Camp and lac Croche.

Point: Coordinate

3: 5,327,250 m N and 409,500 m E

4: 5,325,000 m N and 409,500 m E

5: 5,320,200 m N and 407,700 m E

Thence, westerly, a straight line to Point 6, skirting so as to include the lakes met there, a point whose coordinates are:

5,320,500 m N and 402,900 m E

Thence, westerly, a straight line to Point 7 located on the line dividing the townships of Ducreux and Périgny, a point whose coordinates are:

5,320,600 m N and 400,300 m E

Thence, northerly, following that line dividing the townships to Point 8 located on the N.H.W.M. on the right bank of a stream, a point whose coordinates are:

5,321,250 m N and 400,325 m E

Thence, northwesterly, the N.H.W.M. of that stream and of an unnamed lake to Point 9 located on the central line of the right-of-way of the electrical power line, a point whose coordinates are:

5,322,550 m N and 398,475 m E

Thence, northerly and northeasterly, that central line to Point 10, a point whose coordinates are:

5,334,150 m N and 402,150 m E

Thence, southeasterly, a straight line to Point 11, a point whose coordinates are:

5,333,700 m N and 403,150 m E

Thence, southerly, a straight line to Point 12, a point whose coordinates are:

5,333,075 m N and 403,125 m E

Thence, southeasterly, a straight line to Point 13 located on the northern limit of the right-of-way (10 m) of a road running north of lac à Moreau, a point whose coordinates are:

5,332,525 m N and 404,500 m E

Thence, in a general northeasterly direction, that limit of the right-of-way to Point 14 located on the N.H.W.M. on the left bank of ruisseau du Portage, a point whose coordinates are:

5,332,625 m N and 405,225 m E

Thence, in a general northerly direction, that N.H.W.M. to Point 15 located on the line dividing the townships of Ducreux and Saint-Jean.

Thence, southeasterly, that line dividing the townships of Ducreux and Saint-Jean.

Northeasterly, the southeastern limit of rang 11 of the Canton de Saint-Jean.

Southeasterly, the southwestern limit of lot 32, rang V.

Northeasterly, the southeastern limit of rang V then the southern and southeastern limit of rang sud skirting along the N.H.W.M. so as to exclude the lake that it meets.

Northeasterly, the southeastern limit of lot 1 of rang sud. Easterly, the southern limit of lots 6, 4, 5, 3 and 2 of rang nord.

Southwesterly, the line dividing the townships of Saint-Jean and Dumas skirting along the N.H.W.M. so as to include the lake that it meets to the starting point.

Area: 175 km2

Territory B

Starting from Point 16 located at the intersection of the northern limit of the right-of-way (20 m) of Route 170 and of the southeastern limit of rang V of the Canton de Saint-Jean.

Thence, northeasterly, the southeastern limit of rang V of the Canton de Saint-Jean.

Southeasterly, northeasterly and northwesterly, the southwestern, southeastern and northeastern limit of rang VIII, skirting along the N.H.W.M. so as to include the lake on the line and skirting the second lac de Saint-Fiacre along the N.H.W.M. so as to exclude.

Northeasterly, the southeastern limit of rang VI.

Southeasterly, the southwestern limit of rang VII.

Southeasterly, a straight line to Point 17, a point whose coordinates are:

5,442,375 m N and 417,800 m E

Thence, southeasterly, a straight line to Point 18 located at the intersection of the line dividing the townships of Saint-Jean and Dumas and of the line dividing lots 10-2 and 11-2 of rang nord of the Canton de Dumas.

Southwesterly, the line dividing the townships of Saint-Jean and Dumas to a point located on the northern limit of rang nord of the Canton de Saint-Jean.

Southwesterly, the northern limit of lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of rang nord of the Canton de Saint-Jean.

Southwesterly, the southeastern limit of rang sud to the northern limit of the right-of-way (20 m) of Route 170.

Thence, southwesterly, that limit of the right-of-way to the starting point.

Area: 18 km2.
