48. (Repealed).

48. Every person contemplated in section 5 and 6 must see that the duties on the property encumbered in his favour are paid, and these duties may be paid from that property; if necessary, he may, with the authorization of a judge of the Superior Court and on the conditions the judge may fix, alienate or bind that property to make that payment.
