1. In this act, the following expressions mean:
(a)  “alcoholism” : a pathological condition related to consumption of alcohol and disturbing the physical and psychical balance and the social behaviour of persons suffering therefrom;
(b)  “toxicomania” : a pathological condition other than alcoholism, related to the consumption of a toxic substance and disturbing the physical and psychical balance and the social behaviour of persons suffering therefrom;
(c)  “Office” : the Office de la prévention de l’alcoolisme et des autres toxicomanies established by section 2.
