For the purposes of paragraph 30.4.4 (
a
) (i) of the Economic Security Program for Cree Hunters, fur income included in the expression “other income” is that income which exceeds the amount of the exemption per beneficiary unit which is determined in the following manner:

For the purposes of the first paragraph, the term

refers to an unattached person 18 years old or over living with his parents, grandparents or adult children.

For the purposes of section 1, the classification of harvesting territories shall be that set out in Schedule I.

The amount of the exemption provided at section 1 shall be determined according to the category of the beneficiary unit and the classification applicable to the harvesting territories for the community in which the said unit is registered under the Economic Security Program for Cree Hunters.

The amount of this exemption is established for each beneficiary unit, taking into account the harvesting territory where the unit spends the major part of time in harvesting and related activities during the year.

When the head of a beneficiary unit is harvesting in an area not included in the classification in effect for the community in which the unit is enrolled under the Program or when there is no classification for that community, the exemption to be applied will be determined as if the harvesting territories concerned were of easy access.

The amounts provided at section 1 shall be indexed annually in accordance with paragraph 30.4.10 of the Program.
