The Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment and Parks is authorized to acquire by agreement or expropriation any immovable or immovable real right comprised in the territory of Mauricie Park described in Schedule A.

The powers of expropriation conferred by this Act may be exercised with respect to any immovable, even one devoted to public use and not liable to expropriation under any general law or special Act.

The deposit of the plan mentioned in the first paragraph of section 15 of the Act respecting expropriation (
chapter E-25
) entails the cancellation of any grant and of any occupation licence or location ticket granted in accordance with the Act respecting the lands in the domain of the State (
chapter T-8.1
) or the Act respecting agricultural lands in the domain of the State (
chapter T-7.1
) or the Wild-life Conservation Act (
chapter C-61
) and relating to any land in the domain of the State comprised within the territory of Mauricie Park described in Schedule A. For the purposes of payment of the indemnity only, the holder of such a right shall be deemed an expropriated party.

The transmission of an immovable contemplated in section 1 shall not be vitiated in consequence of the inobservance of section 55 of the Succession Duty Act (

The Succession Duty Act (
chapter D-13.2
) was repealed on 27 May 1986 by section 6 of chapter 15 of the statutes of 1986. The said section 6 applies in respect of successions opening after 27 May 1986.

The Government is authorized to give the Government of Canada free possession of the lands comprised in the territory of Mauricie Park described in Schedule A, according to the agreements contained in sessional papers numbers 179 and 180 tabled with the Secretary of the National Assembly on 21 December 1971.

Description of the territory of Mauricie Park
Starting from a point at the southwest extremity of the proposed region of the park, the coordinates of which are 5,167,750 m. N. and 653,000 m. E.; thence, in a straight line northeasterly about 2.33 km to a point the coordinates of which are 5,169,900 m. N. and 653,900 m. E.; thence in a straight line northerly about 1.85 km to a point the coordinates of which are 5,171,700 m. N. and 653,800 m. E; thence, a straight line northwesterly about 6.27 km to a point the coordinates of which are 5,177,600 m. N. and 651,600 m. E.; thence, in a straight line northeasterly about 1.85 km to a point the coordinates of which are 5,178,700 m. N. and 653,100 m. E.; thence, in a straight line southeasterly about 5.47 km to a point the coordinates of which are 5,177,400 m. N. and 658,300 m. E.; thence, in a straight line southeasterly about 1.77 km to a point the coordinates of which are 5,176,200 m. N. and 659,700 m. The whole as shown on a map and in a technical description prepared by Robert Bussières, land surveyor, and filed respectively under Divers 80 and Divers 8/20 in the Service de l’arpentage et de la géodésie of the Ministère des Ressources naturelles on 28 October 1971.
The coordinates shown above are given in metres and were surveyed graphically on the basis of the U.T.M. squaring used on maps drawn to a scale of 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources of Canada and were based on an altimetric point used by Hydro-Québec, situated at Manigance Rapid and whose elevation is 103.5573 m above sea level.

REPEAL SCHEDULE
In accordance with section 17 of the Act respecting the consolidation of the statutes (chapter R-3), chapter 50 of the statutes of 1972, in force on 31 December 1977, is repealed, except sections 3 and 13, effective from the coming into force of chapter P-7 of the Revised Statutes.
