Act respecting artistic, literary and scientific competitions
1. The Minister of Culture and Communications may establish annual artistic and literary competitions, and determine the conditions thereof.
The Minister of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology may establish annual scientific competitions, and determine the conditions thereof.

The Minister of Econony and Innovation exercises the functions of the Minister of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology provided for in this Act. Order in Council 820-2019 dated 14 August 2019, (2019) 151 G.O. 2 (French), 3787.
2. The minister responsible for the competition shall appoint, for each competition that he establishes, a jury which shall confer, if it deems it expedient, rewards on the prize-winners.
The jury, under the direction of the minister responsible, shall fulfill the duties that may be assigned to it.

3. The minister responsible for the competition shall fix each year the number of the members of each jury and their remuneration.
Each jury shall be composed of at least three members.

4. The conditions of each competition shall be published in due time in the Gazette officielle du Québec.

REPEAL SCHEDULE

In accordance with section 17 of the Act respecting the consolidation of the statutes (chapter R-3), chapter 60 of the Revised Statutes, 1964, in force on 31 December 1977, is repealed effective from the coming into force of chapter C-51 of the Revised Statutes.
