47. (Repealed).

47. No carrier may claim or receive as payment remuneration where a rate or tariff is applicable, except in conformity with that rate or tariff.
Where, for a given service, there is no applicable rate or tariff, no carrier may claim or receive as payment remuneration where rate and tariff standards have been prescribed by regulation, except in conformity with those standards.

Where an application for the fixing of rates or tariffs is made to the Commission and the applicant discontinues the whole or part of his application after the commencement of the public hearing, the Commission may, notwithstanding such discontinuance of all or part of the application, pursue the hearing and fix the rates and tariffs.
