4. Every person whose condition requires it has the right to receive end-of-life care, subject to the specific requirements established by this Act.
Such care is provided to the person in a facility maintained by an institution, in a palliative care hospice or at home.
This section applies within the framework of the legislative and regulatory provisions relating to the organizational and operational structure of institutions and the policy directions, policies and approaches of palliative care hospices and within the limits of the human, material and financial resources at their disposal. It complements the provisions of the Act respecting health services and social services (chapter S-4.2) and of the Act respecting health services and social services for Cree Native persons (chapter S-5) that relate to the rights of users and beneficiaries.
