S-30.01 - Act respecting public transit authorities
Section 251
Disposition versions
251. The new transit authority shall be bound by the certification and the collective agreement as if it were named therein and shall become ipso facto a party to any proceeding relating thereto, in the place and stead of the dissolved former public transit authority or former intermunicipal transit authority on the date of coming into force of this Act.
251. The associations of employees certified in accordance with the provisions of the Labour Code (chapter C-27) which represented groups of employees of a dissolved former public transit authority or former intermunicipal transit authority on the 31 December 2001 shall continue to represent those employees at the new transit authority until the expiry of the collective agreements in force at the time of the transfer.
Such associations of employees shall also represent the future employees of the new transit authority, according to the group to which they belong, until the expiry of the collective agreements referred to in the first paragraph.
The provisions of such collective agreements continue to apply to the employees of the new transit authority to the extent that they are applicable to them, until their date of expiry.
