179. Before recommending to the Government that it rectify the boundaries, the Minister of Municipal Affairs, Regions and Land Occupancy shall transmit to the municipality affected a written notice containing the proposed rectification and a statement to the effect that the municipality may submit its opinion on the proposed rectification to the Minister in writing.
The Minister shall also transmit the notice to the secretary-treasurer of the regional county municipality in which the territory affected by the proposed rectification is situated.
The clerk or secretary-treasurer of the municipality shall supply the Minister with any information which he requires concerning the rectification.
