34. The person holding the office of President, at the time of any dissolution of the National Assembly, shall be deemed to be President and shall retain his powers as such until the day fixed by proclamation for the despatch of business, and for the purposes of the internal economy of the National Assembly shall be deemed to be President until a President has been appointed by the new Assembly.
The person holding the office of Vice-President at the time of the dissolution of the National Assembly shall retain such office and shall continue to exercise the powers thereof until the day fixed by proclamation for the despatch of business.
