62. Where the school committee fails to appoint the required number of representatives of parents, the principal shall perform the functions and exercise the powers of the orientation committee.
Failure by the teachers, the members of the non-teaching professional staff, the members of the support staff or the students to elect their representatives does not prevent the formation of an orientation committee.
