Every holder of a management permit or third person entrusted with the execution of work authorized by a permit who cuts timber outside the cutting areas indicated in the permit or the management plan with which the permit holder is bound to comply is guilty of an offence and is liable to a fine of $4,000 to $50,000 for each hectare or part of a hectare cut outside the perimeter of the area where cutting was authorized.
