E-8.1 - Act respecting public elementary and secondary education

Disposition versions
572. Section 1 of the Act respecting private education (chapter E-9) is amended by replacing paragraphs a, h and j by the following paragraphs:
“(a) “general education” : preschool education and elementary and secondary education within the meaning of the Act respecting elementary and secondary education (chapter E-8.1) and the regulations thereunder, and all education at the college level, within the meaning of the regulations contemplated in section 30 of the Act respecting the Conseil supérieur de l’éducation (chapter C-60) and the regulations contemplated in section 18 of the General and Vocational Colleges Act (chapter C-29), of which the immediate object is not preparation for the practice of a vocation or trade and which enables the pupils to pursue studies at a higher level;
“(“h) “official curriculum or program” : a curriculum or program governed by the regulations contemplated in section 18 of the General and Vocational Colleges Act;
“(“j) “school corporation” : a corporation of commissioners, trustees or school administrators, by whatever law governed;”.
