169. Every wildlife protection officer, officer contemplated in section 3, wildlife protection assistant or area warden who, in the discharge of his duties, commits an offence against this Act or the regulations thereunder or any other Act respecting hunting, trapping or fishing is liable, on an application by the prosecutor which is attached to the statement of offence, in addition to the fines prescribed for such an offence, to an additional fine(1) of not less than $2,000 nor more than $10,000 in the case of conviction for an offence against any provision referred to in section 165;
(2) of not less than $5,000 nor more than $25,000 in the case of conviction for an offence against any provision referred to in section 167.
