87. Everyone shall be guilty of an offence and liable, on summary proceeding, to a fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than two hundred dollars for the first offence, and to a fine of not less than three hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars for each subsequent offence, in addition to costs in each case, and, on failure to pay the fine and costs, in each case, to imprisonment for not less than one month nor more than three months, whosoever(a) gives a fictitious name, age, address, or date of birth, fictitious or misleading initials, in short, gives fictitious or misleading particulars or information, in or respecting an application for registration of a motor vehicle or an application for a license or permit to drive a motor vehicle; or
(b) drives on a public highway a motor vehicle bearing one or two fictitious markers; or
(c) alters a registration marker supplied by the Bureau, by changing the number, year, letter or colour thereof, or in any other manner; or
(d) drives a motor vehicle on a public highway for a wager or bet or in a race with another vehicle.
