636. In all prosecutions instituted before the Municipal Court or before the municipal judge, other than civil actions, the provisions of Part I of the Summary Convictions Act (chapter P-15) shall apply to the Municipal Court and to the municipal judge, as regards the mode of procedure on such prosecution to final conviction or judgment, the execution and carrying out of such conviction, judgment or order, and generally as to all rules imposed upon judges for such objects, insofar as they are not inconsistent with the provisions of this act, and where no express provision is made in relation thereto.
In such proceedings, however, it shall not be necessary for the depositions of the witnesses to be taken in writing.
The several forms contained in the Summary Convictions Act (chapter P-15) may be changed, insofar as may be necessary to render them applicable to the court.
