240. (Repealed).
R. S. 1964, c. 193, s. 269; 1987, c. 57, s. 708.
240. The clerk of the municipality shall retain in his custody among the archives of the municipality the papers sent to him by a returning officer with the return,
(1)  For at least one year, if the election be not contested during that time; and,
(2)  If the election be contested, then for one year after the termination of such contestation.
