48. (1) All by-laws, rules and orders regularly made, shall be reduced to writing and signed by the president or by the chairman of the meeting at which they are adopted, and shall be kept in the office of the company.A printed copy of so much of them as relates to or affects any party other than the members or servants of the company, shall be posted up in every place where tolls are to be paid, and a printed copy of so much of them as relates to the safety and liability of passengers, shall be posted up in each passenger car, and, in like manner, so often as any change is made to the same.
Any copy of such by-laws, rules and orders certified as correct by the president or secretary, shall be evidence thereof in any court.
(2) All such by-laws, rules and orders shall be submitted to the Lieutenant-Governor for approval.
(3) Copies of the minutes of proceedings and resolutions of the shareholders of the company, at any general or special meeting, and of the minutes of proceedings and resolutions of the directors at their meetings, extracted from the minute-book kept by the secretary of the company, and certified by him to be true copies extracted from such minute-book, shall be evidence of such proceedings and resolutions in any court.
(4) All notices given by the secretary of the company, by order of the directors, shall be deemed notices by the directors and company.
