2. The rules governing the welfare and safety of wild animals that are companion animals are set out in the Act respecting the conservation and development of wildlife (chapter C-61.1) and the regulations.
However, an inspector may see to the enforcement of those rules and exercise, with respect to such animals, the powers conferred on inspectors by this Act.
