451. Where a person to whom the Commission pays an income replacement indemnity or a total disability benefit under an Act administered by it claims, by reason of a new event, an income replacement indemnity or a total disability benefit under another Act administered by the Commission, the Commission shall distinguish between the damages attributable to each event and determine the corresponding entitlement to and amount of benefits payable under each of the applicable Acts.
A person who believes he has been wronged by the decision may elect to bring an appeal under this Act, the Act to promote good citizenship (chapter C-20) or the Crime Victims Compensation Act (chapter I-6), as the case may be.
An appeal brought under any of the Acts referred to in the first paragraph prevents an appeal under the others and the decision rendered in appeal binds the Commission for the purposes of each of the applicable Acts.
