242. The population of the regional county municipality is the aggregate of the populations of all the municipalities forming part of the territory of the regional county municipality, plus the population of the unorganized territories.

242. For the purposes of this act, the population of a municipality is that which is recognized as valid by the Government under the Cities and Towns Act (chapter C-19) and the Municipal Code (chapter C-27.1).
The population of the regional county municipality is the aggregate of the populations of all the municipalities forming part of the territory of the regional county municipality, plus the population of the territories contemplated in article 36 of the Municipal Code.
