173. Where a regional county municipality succeeds a county corporation, it acquires the rights and assumes the obligations of the corporation, and becomes, without continuance of suit, a party to any suit in its place and stead.
The by-laws, resolutions, procès-verbaux, assessment rolls, collection rolls and other acts of a county corporation that has been succeeded by a regional county municipality remain in force in the territory for which they were passed or made until they are amended, annulled or repealed.
The same rule applies to the decisions made by any board of delegates, which become the decisions of the regional county municipality.
