7. All affidavits required under this act or intended to be used in reference to any claim, business or transaction in the Ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources may be taken before any judge or prothonotary or clerk of any court, or any justice of the peace or any commissioner for taking affidavits in any of the courts, or the Minister or the Deputy Minister or any officer or agent of the Minister, or any sworn land surveyor appointed by the Minister to inquire into or take evidence or report in any matter submitted to or pending before such Minister, or, if made outside Québec, before the mayor or chief magistrate of, or the British Consul in, any city, town or other municipality.
