142. Motorized or mechanized machines used in the forest must be provided with apparatus in conformity with the standards established by regulation for preventing the escape of fire and sparks; the same applies to chimneys of buildings and establishments located in the forest. In addition, such buildings and establishments must be provided with a fire protection system in conformity with the standards established by regulation.
Every regulation contemplated in this section shall be made by the Government and shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette officielle du Québec or on any other later date determined therein.
Every person who contravenes any provision of this section or any regulation made under this section is guilty of an offence and is liable, upon summary proceeding, to a fine of not less than $10 for each day that such offence continues.
