11. No other person holding an office under this act or the Act respecting the Ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources (chapter M-15.1) or employed in the department shall, while holding such office or employment, unless under an order of the Government, purchase, directly or indirectly, any right, title or interest in any public land, either in his own name or through any other person, or in the name of any other person in trust for himself, or take or receive any fee or emolument for negotiating or transacting any business connected with his official duties.

Any title or interest thus obtained shall be null and void, and any person contravening this section shall forfeit his office or employment and be liable to a penalty of $400, to be recovered in an action of debt by any person suing for the same.

11. No other person holding an office under this act or the Act respecting the Ministère des terres et forêts (chapter M-27) or employed in the department shall, while holding such office or employment, unless under an order of the Gouvernement, purchase, directly or indirectly, any right, title or interest in any public land, either in his own name or through any other person, or in the name of any other person in trust for himself, or take or receive any fee or emolument for negotiating or transacting any business connected with his official duties.

Any title or interest thus obtained shall be null and void, and any person contravening this section shall forfeit his office or employment and be liable to a penalty of four hundred dollars, to be recovered in an action of debt by any person suing for the same.
