80.1. The Minister may develop and implement a pilot project whose object is to increase the contribution of the service providers of pre-hospital emergency services with regard to the provision of health services and social services and to the continuity of those services, in particular by providing a framework for the interventions of ambulance technicians in a para-hospital setting.
The Minister shall determine, by regulation, the standards and obligations applicable within the framework of a pilot project, which may differ from the standards and obligations provided for by this Act or the regulations or by the Regulation respecting the professional activities that may be engaged in within the framework of pre-hospital emergency services and care (chapter M-9, r. 2.1). The Government shall also determine the monitoring and reporting mechanisms applicable within the framework of a pilot project, and the information that is necessary for the purposes of those mechanisms and that must be sent to the Minister by any person or group. A pilot project is established for a period of up to three years which the Minister may extend by up to two years.
