25. Community supervision is exercised in respect of persons entrusted to the correctional services placed under a community measure such as a probation order or a suspended sentence or persons who have been granted a temporary absence or conditional release.
Community supervision seeks to ensure the protection of society and facilitate the reintegration of those persons into the community, and is effected through both control and reintegration interventions.
