124. The amount of the flat rate benefit included in a disability pension is obtained by multiplying $25 by the ratio that the Pension Index for the year in which the benefit commenced to be payable bears to the Pension Index for the year 1967.
For the year 1973, the amount of the flat rate benefit included in a disability pension shall be $80.
For the years 1974 to 1983, the amount of the flat rate benefit included in a disability pension is obtained by multiplying,(a) for a disability pension becoming payable in 1974, $80 by the ratio that the Pension Index for the year 1974 bears to the average of the Consumer Price Index for Canada for each month in the sixteen-month period ending June 30 1972;
(b) for a disability pension becoming payable in 1975, the amount payable for the year 1974 by the ratio that the Pension Index for the year 1975 bears to the average of the Consumer Price Index for Canada for each month of the twelve-month period ending October 31 1973;
(c) for a disability pension becoming payable from 1976 to 1983, the amount payable for the year 1975 by the ratio that the Pension Index for the year in which the benefit becomes payable bears to the Pension Index for the year 1975.
For each subsequent year, the amount of the flat rate benefit included in the disability pension is that of the preceding year adjusted as provided in section 119.
