110. Upon the death of the spouse of a person whose surviving spouse’s pension has been discontinued owing to remarriage, such person may upon application therefor be paid a surviving spouse’s pension equal to the pension discontinued or the pension payable by reason of the death of the last spouse, whichever is the greater.
